Magazine covers

All of the front covers for these music magazines share similar features that are used to try and convince the reader to buy and read the magazine.

> All have a model looking at the reader, using direct mode of address.

> The mastheads are large and noticeable, using colours that stand out in the background.

> Most magazines promise "dirt" on celebrities on the cover.

> Anchorage text about celebrities in slightly larger and bolder writing

> Puff texts try to encourage the reader to follow the magazine's advice and info about tips or celebrities in lists

> Most only show the model's head and shoulders, but a few show a medium-long shot,  that goes down to their thighs or knees.

> Most use colours that coincide with one another as an assigned palette, but the font colours stand out against their background - either because they use bright letters on a dark background, or they keep the colour theme the same by using text the same colour as the background on top of the model ,as to make it readable.
